Home page - Financing SMEs - Microcredits for businesswomen and female entrepreneurs
Through the Directorate General of SME Policy, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Trade runs a micro-credit programme for female entrepreneurs and business owners made possible by a collaboration agreement with the Secretary of State for Equality.
This programme aims to promote the creation, growth, and consolidation of companies run by women. To do this it offers financing and personalized technical advice to women wishing to join the initiative.
The Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Trade participates by directly awarding these micro-credits under conditions more advantageous than those available on the market. The single requirement is that the business projected submitted be viable.
Financing is carried out through the Spanish National Company for Innovation (ENISA), once the business projects forwarded by one of the female business organizations that collaborate with the programme have received a positive assessment.
On the other hand, the Secretary of State for Equality finances the collaborating business organizations by providing personalized advice and technical assistance to the business women that apply to join the programme. It also monitors the situation and offers advice to the companies set up, once they have been awarded the micro-credit and have entered the market
