Process involved and steps to be followed when setting up and starting off a company 

• Register of Companies: the company can be registered (this is voluntary)

• Tax Administration Office: registration in the Register of Business Owners, Corporate Business Tax (newly incorporated companies are exempt for the first two years)  
• Local Treasury of the Social Security: enrolment and number, registration in the Social Security Scheme
  • In the event employees are to be taken on: the company must be registered, and the workers must be included y and registered in the General Social Security Scheme
• Departments of Employment of the Autonomous Communities: these must be informed that the work centre has opened
• Provincial Labour Inspection the Visits Book must be obtained and legalized, and the business calendar must also be obtained
• Town Councils: construction permits, License to Open a Business, must be obtained and the company must be registered for Real Estate Tax

• Notary Public: document of public record (in the event real estate or in-rem rights are used)
• Tax Departments in the Autonomous Communities: Property Transfer Tax and Stamp Duty
• Tax Administration Office: Tax ID Number
