Europe united to serve SMEs

European support actions aimed at small- and medium-sized companies are carried out in addition to those effected through other EU policies, and to those carried out by member States to foster a favourable environment for the creation and development of companies.

The Directorate-General of SME Policy (Dirección General de Política de la Pequeña y la Mediana Empresa) plays an active role in the these actions, generally led by the European’s Commission’s Directorate General of Enterprise and Industry, in matters related to both consultancy and management. Updated information regarding the European tools and measures that help facilitate SME access to markets, boosting both entrepreneurial initiative and innovation is available.
