This programme supports both technological and organizational entrepreneurial innovation and is included in the National Programme for Innovative Projects which forms part of the National R+D+I Plan (2008-2011). It targets small- and medium-sized enterprises exclusively. The programme was set up in 2007 and is run with the help of the Autonomous Communities through regional projects and other superregional projects in which SMEs from several different Autonomous Communities must participate. These superregional projects are directly run by the Directorate-General of SME Policy. There will be no superregional projects announced in 2011 as, given the current economic-budgetary context, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Trade (MITYC) has not awarded any funds to this programme.[more information]
